PERSONAL STATEMENT

I have always been driven by a compassionate instinct that inspires me to work in a profession that helps the society. However, I have realized that a career in nursing is the best path for me to follow. One of the sectors that I am most interred in is mental health nursing, a profession that needs empathy and patience, which could be rewarding in terms of the help I can offer to society. Besides, mental health nursing is all about working respectfully and diligently and being able to charge as a leader in a high-pressured surrounding to deliver the best. My love for science propels my interest in this career. Also, I believe that a profession in mental health nursing would allow me to change and improve people’s lives. My long-term goal is to run a care facility for people with disabilities, but I am well aware of the wide range of career options if I obtain a degree in this field. Mental health issues affect people of all ages and socioeconomic classes, making them the most common disease we see. Furthermore, apart from being an excelling student, I believe that nursing is a vocational career, and it comes with rewards if you have the correct attitude. Therefore, guided by my fascination and objectives, and with the support of education dissertation help, I am applying for a Bachelor of Science in Mental Health Nursing at your institution.

The BSc (Hons) Mental Health Nursing degree at your institution prepares learners for a rewarding and fulfilling career in mental health nursing. Besides, the course prepares learners to make positive changes to their lives and supports them on their recovery journey. Therefore, the course requires qualified and successful students. However, looking at my professional and educational background, I am confident that I am the most suitable student to pursue a bachelor’s degree in mental health nursing at your institution. I have a great 12 years of experience working in the health care industry from my professional background. Currently, I am working as a Community Phlebotomist/HCA at Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust. In this institution, I am tasked with handling daily scheduled appointments and, among other roles, collecting and tagging specimens. Likewise, since 2018, I have been working as a Mental Health Support Worker at Thornbury Nursing services. Similarly, I have been tasked with building professional and supportive relationships with service users for trusted social care provisions in this institution. Besides, I help clients’ pinpoint emotions underlying personal and relational conflicts, among other roles. Other positions I have held include Field Service Specialist at Thornbury Nursing Services, Community Care Assistant at A24 Group, and Health Care Assistant at University Hospital Leicester Royal Infirmary. I have gained significant mental health career insight and skills from these positions, which makes me the most qualified candidate to study mental health nursing degree at your institution.

Moreover, I have pursued a Diploma of Higher Education in Mental health nursing from De Montfort University. I have enhanced my knowledge in the best possible way for my planned professional life from this curse. Other than sound academic foundation, I have learned advanced my communication skills, organization and management skills, and other skill which I believe would give me an advantage in learning. Looking at my skills, I am a result-driven, positive, and proactive individual who can work in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines. Besides, I can work as an individual and a team to make valuable contributions to any medical imaging institution. Moreover, I have an excellent command of information technology and am a flexible individual with the critical skills needed to thrive in the modern medical field. Besides my skills, my educational background has shaped me into a professional and punctual individual with the ability to deliver results timely.

However, I understand that this course is challenging, though I am committed to striving to achieve my best since I have chosen the institution that will assist me in being the best. I am therefore optimistic that I will be prepared well for the modern job market.
