Introduction

A learning system based on the formalised teaching but the teachers provide learning activities with the help of electronic resources is mainly known as e-learning. It can also be termed as a network enable transfer of skill and knowledge among the students in order to deliver the best quality education (Turkyilmaz, Hariri and Jahangiri, 2019). Through e-learning technique, the teachers try to provide continuous support and assistance to a wide numbers of children at different times, which is crucial for those seeking education dissertation help. In the recent pandemic per due to COVID 19, all the students are participating in the e-learning classes, so that they can learn more. There is government protocol of maintaining social distancing for which the children cannot go to school and thus e-learning facilities are the only way to educate the students in the recent years. Through this study, it is possible to understand e-learning environment and analyse the impacts of the e-learning facilities on the students. Both the positive and negative effects of e-learning will be evaluated through this study where it would also be possible to recommend some suitable suggestions of improving e-learning environment for child benefits in long run.

E-earning environment

The virtual learning environment is the main aim of the teachers to provide the best e-learning curses to all the students in the recent era of globalisation. It is mainly a web based platform or digital aspects of courses of study, usually within the educational institution. In the years, due to COVID 19, there is increasing numbers of courses where the teachers take online classes and provided e-learning facilities to the students across the globe (Luo, Zhang and Qi, 2017). In order to design the e-learning environment, the teachers focus on maintaining transparency and educational standard to develop the high quality courses and study materials for supporting the students. It is the role of the teaching professionals and school and college authority to design the e-learning coursework to support the students online. Content management is important component of e-learning in order create good content, gather the data and information and provide access of using the earning resources to all the students. Communication and collaboration is also another major practice in order to ensure e-learning classes where email, notices, chat and blogs must be handled efficiently and the students must be aware about the daily notices and changes in classwork activities (Turkyilmaz, Hariri and Jahangiri, 2019). Hence, continuous communication through chat and email as well as face to face conversation through video conferencing and Zoom meeting is mandatory so that the students get timely update about the online classes and also the teachers can cooperate with the participants to make the e-learning courses successful. Real time communication through live video conferencing or audio conferencing is hereby beneficial to ensure good e-learning environment. Learner engagement and administration is also essential that the teachers can manage the organisational resources and study material for making the online classes successful. This systematic structure of the online courses further provides a scope to track the progress and influence the students to participate actively.

The teaching professionals try to manage suitable environment in the recent academic era for providing e-earning facilities to all the students, so that the participants can actively attending the classes and continuous their educations from home. In the rennet years, the professionals training courses are also provided through online training and developmental sessions, where the employees and the students are participating from home, in order to maximise their personal and professional skill set (Luo, Zhang and Qi, 2017). The teachers try to ensure data protection in order to protect personal data and information of the students. There is security in accessing the software for online classes, were the students can download the application and software system in personal mobile safely. The teaching professionals also maintain the quality of education by providing effective access of study materials, so that the students can learn more and explore new information and data successfully. The Virtual Learning Program Standards provide a framework for identifying key areas for effective teaching, here the teachers try to identify the curriculum planning and course work in order to arrange study materials and support the students with e-learning classes (Luo, Zhang and Qi, 2017). The teachers also ensure that the e-learning classes should be interactive, so that there is student teachers conversation and the students can ask queries and resolve their doubts through video conferencing and audio recording. Hence, the e-learning environment must be created successfully by arranging study materials, engaging the students, arrange parent teacher meeting, encouraging student’s participation and enhancing communication and cooperation for making the e-learning programs successful.

Positive impacts of E-Learning (Online Learning) on students

The e-learning facilities are effective for the students in the recent pandemic situation to access all the study materials and continue the study and coursework activities successfully. The students can get suitable assistance and support from the teachers through the e-learning activities, where they can understand the coursework and participate actively in the online activities. It mainly increases the academic performance in order to meet the educational standard. Though there is critical environment due to COVID 19, the students can get the chance of continuing their education successfully (Elzainy, El Sadik and Al Abdulmonem, 2020). It also addresses eth diverse needs and preferences of the students and further provides a scope to the students to clear their doubts and participate actively in the learning activities. Informed decisions making practice can be developed through successful e-learning environment, where the students can cooperate with the teachers to improve the quality of education and maximise educational standard. The process of e-learning further maximise the performance of the students and help them to explore new information and data in order learn more. The online activities also improve technical skill set of the students as well as improve the communication and presentation skill of the participants (Bączek et al., 2021). The e-learning programs need good communication and cooperation skill, where the teachers influence the student to communicate with them and improve their cooperation with other students and teacher for learning under suitable circumstances. The teachers are also efficient to manage diverse students from different culture through e-learning, where they are treated equally and get equal opportunity to participate. The learning resources and study materials are accessible by all the students through such e-learning activities which are also other crucial impacts on the students, where they can learn more and improve their academic knowledge and professional skill set (Luo, Zhang and Qi, 2017).

There are also other positive impacts of e-learning courses such as it provides the instruction in a manner familiar to the current web-oriented generation of students, where in the recent era of globalisation, technology plays crucial role in learning and professional career (Salamat et al., 2018). For example, the educational success rate is increasing where the student’s participation rate is also enhancing year by year, as they are concerned about educational activities and achieving higher in near future. it also facilitates the networking of instruction between different campuses or even colleges as well as the students can utilise the common study materials and share their ideas with others trough group discussion and telephonic conversation. This improves the employability skill set of the students. The e-learning courses are also beneficial for the students to increase their capabilities in participating in online classes and also it improves their responsibility to get updated with latest notice and be on time for the classes (Chang and Fang, 2020). Hence, time management skill set as well as communication skill are improved amongst the students. For example, in the primary and secondary education, most of the classes are conducted in English where it improves the spoken language of the students the presentation skill of the participations is also enhanced through such activities. The competitive skill of the students is also improved where the teachers take online exams which are beneficial to maximise personal and professional skill of the participants in long run.

Negative impacts of E-Learning (Online Learning) on students

Apart from the positive impacts of e-learning activities on the students, there are some negative impacts that may hamper the learning activities and skill development practices among the participants. Social isolation is the main issue, where the students feel alone and less social interaction causes students to experience social isolation. It becomes uninteresting for them to attend online lectures and live session on a daily basis and manage their attendance in the classes (Linjawi and Alfadda, 2018). Due to lack of interactive classes, the students become less interested in the online learning activities after a certain time, and they fail to participate actively in the e-learning sessions. Social isolation also affects the mental health of the students where they fail to share the classroom activities with the students which may hamper the educational quality in long run. No one to one conversation is there in the e-learning facilities, where the students fail to communicate with the teachers directly. There is communication gap between the teachers and students. The teachers start the classes and continue it with sharing information and learning resources (Ayu, 2020). As per the evidence, most of the students are not interactive and there is lack of communication between the teachers and students. The concentration of the students is not there which lacks skill developmental practice. There is also lack of student feedback session where it is complicated to manage feedback of the participants in the e-learning courses, where is arranged under limited time framework.

Hence, no practical education is there and it becomes difficult for the students to access the practical classes and get suitable learning environment. As per the evidence, some of the stunts switch off the audio and video during the class sessions, which hampers the quality of education. The students start listening the information and note it down for further learning activities. However, they are not interactive in the class and there are no such video conferencing programs which would be fruitful for the participants to directly communicate with the teaching professionals (Encarnacion, Galang and Hallar, 2021). The students cannot be directly observed during assessments without a video feed that makes cheat detection during online assessments more complicated than for traditional testing procedures. The student’s assessment programs cannot be ensured to be fair during these e-learning activities. Some of the student may cheat during the examinations and it cannot be controlled through the e-learning coursework and online examination from home. It also limits certain disciplines and online learning is inaccessible to the computer illiterate population (Yawson and Yamoah, 2020). For example, the online learning activities are maintained efficiently in the UK, and the classes are conducted in English language. However, it is quiet difficult for the minority people in the UK to attend the classes and acknowledge the learning activities as it is difficult for them to speak and understand English.

Conclusion and recommendations for providing best e-earning environment

The e-learning courses are beneficial for the students in the recent pandemic era to improve student perceptions, enhance communication, ensure quality of education, and improve critical thinking and self-learning activities. All the teachers try to cooperate with the students through online chat, email services and sharing notice regarding the classes and course materials, so that the student can access all the study materials and improve their personal and professional skill for continuing their educational cruses. In the recent COVID 19 period, it is the responsibility of the educational authority to create online training environment, in order to support the students across diverse social communities. The classes must be arranged in English and also alternative language, so that the monitory people in the society can also attempt the coursework and achieve future success in academic and professional career. Moreover, the video conferencing and audio recording must be arranged and the teachers should encourage the student to participate actively in the classes for developing strong team. The teachers must provide friendly atmosphere and continuously collaborating with all the students so that the participants can feel comfortable and share their opinion during the classes. Continuous communication and sharing ideas and study materials are effective for managing the e-learning courses and make it successful with student’s participation. Maintaining quality and transparency in providing the best quality education as well as arranging fair examination for testing students capability must be designed efficiently to maintain educational standard and ensure academic knowledge gain and professional skill development among the students.
