Enhancing Verbal Communication Skills for Effective Coursework Presentations

For developing proper presentation in the coursework, it is necessary to have in depth knowledge and skill about the subject matter as well as personalise skill for better representation of the gathered data and information. Spoken language is one of the major factors where the students must improve the verbal communication during the presentation. It is mandatory for the students to interact with the peers and with other students and colleges in order to gain in-depth knowledge through high communication and cooperation. I try to improve verbal communication for which I need to increase my spoken power. Throughout the presentation, I realise that, spoken power of me is poor due to lack of fluency in English. Though I am able to write the presentation in English and represent the data through proper vocabulary and punctuations, I fail to spoke in English. I face difficulties in constructing the sentence when I try to speak in English.

I also face difficulties in arranging and applying the vocabulary. I feel that, lack of vocabulary and inefficiency in sentence construction while speaking, I face problem in speaking in English and representing my thoughts in front of others. I also face difficulties in representing my thoughts due to lack of vocabulary and poor sentence construction. I realise that, I need to improve my spoken power for being active in the presentation and discuss my opinion with others in English. As per country’s culture, there is lack of spoken activities in the schools and colleges which further deteriorates my skill of representing my thoughts in English. Though I have degree courses and knowledge in English language, I face difficulties in representing my thoughts in English. Though I have strong grammatical knowledge and sentence construction, I face problem in speaking in English fluently.

The presentation is developed through gathering proper data and information as well as representing the collected information after proper analysis and evaluation. In the presentation, proper data gathering and analysis and evaluation further helps me to improve my research skill and analytical skill, where I have the option to evaluate the findings and represent the data and information in a simple and synchronised way. During the presentation, I try to improve my spoken power as spoken English is mandatory to communicate with others and gather more real life experiences through proper collaboration. During the presentation, it would be possible to gather real life experience by arranging interview with the participators which would be beneficial for me to represent the data and findings efficiently. However, I face difficulties in applying this strategy due to poor spoken power where I am not efficient in communicating in English due to lack of fluency in English. It is necessary for me to improve my spoken English and gather more vocabulary and sentence construction skill for better representation of my thoughts and skill in front of others. I also try to improve grammar and increase the practice of communicating in English for improving my fluency. Communication and cooperation can be possible for me in future through continuous improvement of my spoken power in English, where I must try to interacting with others and represent my thoughts in front of others in a more synchronised way.

The educational system of the world has unique features if its own and the essay focus on discussing the educational system in the UK and India. The essay provides a scope to identify the differences in the educational system between India and UK which has several impacts on the quality of education and the literacy rate of the countries.

Differences of education system in India and the UK

As per the quality of education, UK education system is efficient as compared to the Indian educational system. In the UK, there is proper educational quality standard, which is mandatory to be maintained by the colleges and universities. On the other hand, the quality of Indian education is much lower as compared to the UK and there are unskilled educational staff presents in the schools and colleges. The teachers are not qualified efficiently and the situation is worse in the government schools (Alostad, Steinke and Schafheutle, 2018). However, the schools and colleges in the UK hire professional teaching staff and skilled teachers to educate the students successfully. As per the infrastructural factors, the UK education system has strong infrastructure of the school and colleges as compared to India. The education system needs sound infrastructure, where India tries to develop their infrastructure to provide quality education, but there is still lacks many parameters if compared to UK educational system. The Indian schools and colleges try to develop their internal infrastructure which is important for the modern day education. Hence, as per the infrastructure and the quality standard of education, UK is much more efficient to educate their people in the country as compared to the Indian education system, where the teachers sometime fail to deliver high quality education to the students (Strielkowski, Gryshova and Kalyugina, 2017).

On the other hand, use of technology in the education system is one of the important facto to upgrade the educational system of the country and ensure high quality educational activities for the benefits of the students. In this regard, the UK education system is advanced talking terms of technology. For example, unlike the traditional note taking activities, the students are given online notes. However, in the Indian educational syst5em, the students still get written notes and there is no such opportunity to share online database where the teachers fail to upgrade their system of teaching the students by utilising latest technology (Yang, 2018). UK is the much developed country than India and there is availability of the high quality technology as well as information Technology (IT) in the schools and colleges to manage the students through the online database management system. The student’s data are also handled efficiently and the online notes are distributed among the students through online pdf of word documents.

The students are also efficient to access computer system and learn through online notes. The use of projectors, education software, presentation and the online screening activities in the UK education system further upgrade the quality of education where the students are comfortable to utilise the latest technology for better learning opportunities (Khan, Pitts and Williams, 2016). On the other hand, there are large numbers of subject choices in the UK education as compared to the Indian educational system. Especially, when it comes to higher education, the students get a variety of subject options and they can choose the right subject as per their interest, expertise on that particular subject and career goal. In India, the subject options are not available to peruse career. For example, there is lack of opportunities in the subjects of arts or theatre and there is lack of course options available in the Indian educational system for which the students cannot fulfil their career aim and there are many students who try to get scholarship or apply for higher studies in the UK colleges and universities (King, and Sondhi, 2018).

Opportunities in skill development is another factor through which it is possible to differentiate the education system in India and the UK and in this regard, in the UK the projects are given to the students requiring in depth investigation and data gathering for quality research. However, in India, the whole educational system is about to score good marks in the exam for promotion (Edgington, 2016). There is lack of investigation and skill development opportunities or the students in India as compared to UK. Although it does not mean the Indian students lack proper skill, but they fail to get the opportunity to conduct more in depth research for self learning and development of thesis papers. This may deteriorate the self learning and skill developmental activities in the Indian education system. In addition to this, the Indian education system is related to theoretical education and it relies on the researches that have been conducted in the past years. On the other hand, the UK education system follow practical approaches and it encourages the fresh research activities other than the researches that have been discovered in past (Shackleton et al., 2016). The UK educational system is hereby beneficial for the student to get the opportunity to conduct research and have the option to gain practice experience. The teachers and professional trainers are interested to arrange practical training, educational excursion as well as company related training for better skill gathering and improving experience through learning and developmental activities. Additionally, the scholarship opportunities are higher in the UK universities and colleges as compared to the Indian colleges and universities (Valmiki, 2018).

As per the above discussion, the Indian educational system is not upgraded as compared to the UK system. There are strong technological growth, development in the educational infrastructure as well as the scholarship programs in the UK education system are effective for the students to get the opportunities for learning and development of own skill and expertise to achieve figure career objectives. Action plan

It is important for me to improve my skill and expertise to represent the data and information efficiently. I try to improve my spoken English skill as well as the grammar and vocabulary in order to manage my learning activities in a more advanced way. English language is efficient for me to gather more in-depth research data and information as well as interact with others for better presentation. For improving English vocabulary, I try to read newspapers daily and write down the new words as well as review the synonym for those particular words. This is one of the effective ways to improve vocabulary and it further helps me to increase my list of vocabulary to represent the gathered data and information. Apart from that, I try to improve grammar skill by conducting more paraphrasing work and construct the sentence in different way for successful improvement of sentence representation. I also try to reduce my fear of representing my thought in front of others and I do not worried about my mistakes rather I try to recheck my mistakes and improve my skill in future. Practicing every day and continuous communication in English must be continued for improving my skill and English language. This further helps me to improve my spoken power in future. I also try to improve core skills such as reading, writing, speaking and listening which would b beneficial for me to improve my English skill. I would like to read the papers and articles efficiently and improve my spoken power which further helps me to improve my fluency in future. Writing the new words and presenting the information through effective sentence construction would also be efficient where I would like to write and read in a daily basis for further improvement of my English skill.

Apart from the English skill, it is mandatory for me to improve study skill, which further increases my abilities to learn more and conduct more in-depth research for better presentation. I try to establish own note taking skill which is mandatory where I apply tabular formation and diagrams for making notes which would be effective for me to understand the notes and improve skill in future. I would like to improve my research skill, by gathering effective articles and data which would be relevant and valid for me for further presentation and in this regard, I try to read and write the gathered data and information through gathering a vast range of research articles. Reviewing the notes and memorising the gathered knowledge and skill are effective for me where I try to maintain files to set the notes in a synchronized way and I try to improve learning and activities through continuous process. Time management is another way which would be mandatory for me to read and write as well as memorise the gathered data and information efficiently. In addition to his, I try to improve self learning skill and critical analysis skill in future. Self learning proves is effective for me to improve earning activities and motivate myself for better learning opportunities. Additionally, I would like to improve critical analysis skill to simplify the gathered information as well as analyse the data and information efficiently for evaluating further. This practice would also be fruitful for me to improve my study skill and ensure proper reading and writing activities for better presentations. Through this action plan, it would be possible for me to improve my skill and efficiency for further higher studies where I would also able to improve any spoken power and communication to gather more relevant data for further successful evaluation and presentation.
