Theory of Planned Behavior

Planned Behavior theory would be appropriate to the findings in this research paper. This is because the research needs to make the reader understand what factors motivate different individuals to conduct cybercrimes. Many researchers such as (Ajzen, 2020) have tried to understand why human beings behave in different ways with divided motives. Behaviourism theory states that human behaviour is acquired through conditioning. For example, people conduct cyber security issues for different reasons. Some do it because they like hurting people or indulging in people's privacy, others do it to make a living out of it. Computer scientists have tried to dig deep into the matter by trying to understand the reason why users indulge in cybercrime activities. Unfortunately, there is limited information about the user's intentions during cyber security crimes.

Therefore, through the findings of the research, it would have been appropriate if the research would have tried to produce facts as to why different individuals in Saudi Arabia conduct cyber activities through the University systems. In addition, the students and management are also not aware of the policies and protection standards that required for improving the data security to maintain the safety of their personal information and digital learning approaches. This can be termed as a behavioural aspect of the institution because they ignore very important information that can be used to protect the students as we as the university systems.

Moreover, Si et al, (2020) state that the only way to be more active in the fight against cybercrime activities behavioural perspectives must be taken into account. In addition, planned behaviour theory is among the best theories to help in studying the motives of cybercriminals. This theory could help to give the research a proper direction and a proper conclusion. Nevertheless, the advantage of this theory is that it would lead the research in understanding users' behaviour and using their behaviour in securing the cyber security system. This would benefit Saudi Arabia institutions as there would be an introduced advance in protections. Therefore, the finding of the research can be considered incomplete if at all it does not address the factor that motivates individuals into cybercrime business and how those factors can be used to improve cyber security.

Quantitative cyber security theory & Theory of Neutralisation

Nevertheless, quantitative cyber security theory in their findings is very important for this research. This is because the theory can be stipulated with the research findings to prove to the reader the importance of solving cyber security issues in an organization. In addition, it can prove to the university the main reason as to why protecting their systems from cyber security issues and craft improvement in the options of services options and data management is very important. Finally, the theory of Neutralisation was supposed to be covered in the findings. This is because some of the cyber security issues are triggered by employees who violate the university’s information security policies.
