PERSONAL STATEMENT

My interest in fashion is both artistic and practical. Fashion is a sedative, creative, and always changing form of art. I have always fascinated by how fashion influences society. It communicates to the world who we are and who we would like to be. Fashion helps an individual to express one's true self. For some time now, I have realized that creative management has been my interest. Additionally, I am very much aware that, without efficient management and marketing, the fashion designers' ideas might never reach the targeted population. I also discovered that individuals wishing to devote a career in the design must learn much concerning business methods. My interest in management and especially creative management, was motivated after being employed as a manager assistant. Additionally, I have gained inspiration to pursue this course of study from dynamic women such as coco channel whose work gave expression to some of the seismic social changes of the 20th century. After learning the basics of subjects such as marketing, fashion merchandising, customer care, and behavioural skills, I have come to realize that I needed to advance my studies in creative management. Therefore, with my deep interest in fashion and creative management, I wish to apply for a master's degree in creative management in your institution.

Fashion Design and creative management require qualified, creativity, and professional students. From my educational background, pursued BA (Hons) fashion from London Metropolitan University, London. From this course, I have developed a strong understanding and knowledge of integrated marketing communications, both digital and traditional, generating ideas and concepts within various media, creative skills such as brand management. Besides, I have developed management skills, teamwork skills, and digital marketing skills. Furthermore, I pursued Fashion – Access to Higher Education Diploma from South Thames College, London. This course gave me an advanced understanding of the global fashion industry, production, and marketing of clothing as well as leisure goods across a range of sectors. Also, from this field, I have realized that the fashion industry is highly competitive and requires various skill sets. Nevertheless, I learned clothes making- professional skills, which is a short course from South Thames College. From this source, I learned management skills, analytical skills, and creative skills, which makes me believe that I am the most qualified candidate to study creative management. Lastly, from my high school diploma, I pursued various studies that have increased my management skills, creative skills, and analytical skills.

Besides, I am professionally qualified to study creative management. For instance, I started a private Arabic language tuition training online classes where I take the role of management as well as a tutor. Apart from management, I train students to improve their reading, writing, and Arabic calligraphy. From this job, I have learned management skills, communication skills and perfected my knowledge of Arabic culture. Besides, I came up with Somy London, where I design various products before exhibiting them at Jeddah International Exhibition Convention Centre. In this position, I am tasked with management roles, designing and producing a range of screen printing t-shirt. From this position, I have learned designing skills and positive customer relationships. Besides, I worked as an Assistant manager at al gala restaurant and event hall. In this position, I was tasked with organizing meetings and managing databases, dealing with queries, complaint, and correspondence and monitoring work progress on behalf of management. From this position, I learned leadership skills and people skills, which are critical to creative management. Similarly, I worked as a fashion show organizer at a fashion house, Jeddah- Saudi Arabia. From this position, I have learned teamwork skills, creative skills, and customer skills. More important, I have worked as a Supervisor at Aria Beauty, London. In this position, I was tasked with opening and closing of the store, leading teams to achieve the daily targets and in-store standards. The gained experience makes me belie that I am the best candidate to study this course. Lastly, as an Assistant Manager at the laylati beauty salon, Makkah - Saudi Arabia, I learned marketing strategies, better customer service, and other information technology skills.

Looking at my traits, I am a self-motivated, enthusiastic, positive and hardworking individual who strives to be the best. Also, I have good command in information technology and communication skills, which gives me confidence that I qualify for this course. Similarly, I am a flexible individual possessing the core skills required in the modern-day design sector. However, I understand that the course is demanding; thus, I am committed to striving to achieve my best since I have chosen the institution that will help me achieve the best. Studying at your reputable institution will make me excel in creative management and take me where I want to be in terms of achieving my dreams. I am therefore optimistic that I will be prepared well for the modern job market.
