Who I am today was molded by my friends, family, religion, and traditions. Today, I am a person who makes mistakes, laughs, cries hurt, smiles, and loves, but at the end of the day, I strive to live in harmony with people, considering the happiness of everyone. I don't particularly appreciate seeing people make others suffer and always become uncomfortable when I hear or see people getting mistreated or discriminated against.

I believe that diversity as a subject is very powerful and emotional for everyone who deals with it, either directly or indirectly. Dealing with different and alike, tolerance and justice, animosity is very challenging. Unfortunately, due to globalization, the world is diverse; thus, diversity challenges are inevitable. To deal with diversity, there is a need to understanding the cultural background of others and believing that all cultures are good. The first step towards appreciating cultural diversity in the contemporary world is learning about others people's cultures. Familiarizing one with other people's cultures enables individuals to develop awareness and understanding of other cultures, thus making them more meaningful and respecting diversity.
