The Concept of Safeguarding Children, Young People, and Vulnerable Adults

Task 1

The main responsibility of every adult is to safeguard children, young people, and vulnerable adults, and also this responsibility is widely accepted by all adults. The organizations that are working with children or are coming in contact with the children should always have policies of safeguarding and should always ensure that every child they are in contact with regardless of their gender, religion, age everyone should be equally treated, each of them should have protection and the protection should be equal (Tso et al. 2020). These children should always be protected from any kind of bad treatment or abuse. Their health and development should not be hampered and must get equal protection. The organization should always take care that the children are growing with care and none of them are being maltreated. Not only safeguarding children or young people safeguarding vulnerable adults are equally important ensuring that the life of each adult is free from any kind of negativity and neglect and none of them is being abused. This is what safeguarding a vulnerable adult means. Eachways be loved, cared for, encouragedeformeded, and they should help them to make their own decisions about their life by which they can create an environment for themselves which will be risk-free. Everybody should always have a cooperative nature and this nature of them will help them in maintaining a connection with each other and this will help in protecting the vulnerable adults from experiencing any kind of worst situation like being abused or by being neglected.

Duties related to the safeguarding of the professional involved

The duties of the professionals of safeguarding children, young people, and the vulnerable adults should be that they are being able to prevent them from any kind of harm may it be physical or mental they should be cared always and they should care for each and everyone equally they should see that no children's health is being harmed or no children are being neglected by any means, they have to do each and everything which will make them happy and which will make them feel valued they should celebrate birthdays which will make children happy as seen in the scenario not only the children they have to equally take care of the vulnerable adults they have to prevent them from being neglected or being abused they always have to support them encourage them and should never demotivate them for any reason (Jacob and Marlais, 2021). They should always help them and never make any of them feel that they cannot work or decide things alone. The professionals should always help them to think positively for their future and should make them take decisions on their own and also should encourage them to live their life on their terms. Every professional should always try to keep the child focused on a particular thing. This is also a major duty. The professionals should always have a mindset that actions must be taken against a bunch of people who are responsible for the neglect and abuse which is taking place and should always promote well-being.

Meaning of 'Significant Harm'

The word significant harm means that there is a lack of care and control of the parent. in this are, people tend to harm themselves or the surrounding that covers them in this context Julie feels a tendency of having thoughts that might endanger her career and life Cherie who happens to be working in a welfare society and feels pitty and at the same time terrified at the thought that what juice might do to herself and feel it is important to help her out so that Julie does not accomplish what she wants to be at risks of harming herself or as the term suggest 'significant harm' Jullie needs some help from Cherie to get her life of emotions and her surroundings on the track that is Cherie should try to safeguard Julie from doing anything outrageous or something that might harm her in any way (Frost, 2020). Being a good friend Sophie realized the depth of the situation and felt it is important that Julie gets immediate attention and care to overcome this sought Sophie sought Cherries help by informing about Juile's condition and since Cherrie works in the youth welfare Sophie thinks that Cherrie might be the best option to help her get over this situation. Sophie not only proved herself to be a good friend but also at the same time proved to be a good human and showed many positive signs on humanitarian grounds. Cherries' responsibility now is to counsel Julie and make her stop consuming alcohol and make her realize that life is full of ups and downs and she has to fight-ending life is not an option rather fighting with her problems and finding solutions is the best way.

Task 2

Potential sign, symptoms, indicators and behaviour that may cause concern in the context of safeguarding

Being a manager at an early year setting that is a day nursery that takes care of all the babies and children that falls under the age bracket of 0 years to the age of 5 Adam feels pity and at the same time feels heartbroken by having a closed look at the horrifying treatments. The two-year boy Sam who just happens to join the nursery two weeks back is going through what he realizes that it is important to help Sam get out of this situation so that it does not affect him as a person or as a grown-up individual later in his life. Looking at the spots and immediately realizing that those are not some ordinary marks or birthmarks sends chills to the bone to Adam and he knows those are marks of Sam being physically abused by probably his family (Shuker and Ackerley, 2017). These are indications that Sam is in terrible danger and needs help from the concerned parties as soon as possible so that he can be rescued from the situation without further waiting for the perfect time. Safeguarding Sam is considered to be the top priority for Adam as he knows the depth of the situation.

Ways in which health and wellbeing of a person could be damaged due to abusive situation

When a child is born it is being looked after by his or her family or his or her parents so that the child turns out to be a grown-up individual and has a pleasing and attractive personality. Since Sam is a victim of abuses that are mostly physical and have left marks on his body, might at the same time have left marks on his mind and emotions,d having such treatments at such a tender age Sam might not grow up to be someone expected by others he might not have a pleasing personality or in other words. A displeasing personality which might not be preferred by others since the damage is done it is important that utmost care is being taken for Sam so that he can develop the ability recover from his current situation as we all know the proverb morning shows the day must be also known that childhood is the time or state that shapes an individual for the upcoming years for his or her life (Murray, 2018). Sam's behavior is quite antisocial and is not in the best interest of either Sam or anyone else.

Analysis of how national and local guidelines, policies and procedures for safeguarding affect day to day work with children, young people and/or vulnerable adults

There have been proper rules and regulations and there are proper bodies that are being set up that look after the well-being of a child in case the family or the parents fail to do so. Adam if in case fails to help the two-year-old kid Sam must inform the concerned parties about the situation that Sam is facing right now and must do it on the ground of not only being the manager of an early year setting nursery but also in the ground of humanity this would help Sam get rid the abuses and help him grow up to be a better man in his future (Norman, 2021). He must seek help from his senior if necessary or he must confirm Sam's mother, Rose who happens to be a manager of a local hotel, or Sams's family who just recently moved into a new area because of the work Rose, Sam's mother is in. He must follow the local guidelines as well as the national guideline that safeguards the two-year-old kids right or any kid for that matter as this would be the most appropriate way for Sam to get the immediate help that he needs.

Partnership working in the context of safeguarding

Working in a partnership that is in context or about safeguarding Sam's rights means to seek help or jointly operate away from it so that Sit am could get the desired justice that might help him in building a better future himself. Since Sam is just a small kid he is unaware of the situation that he is currently in, he feels that this is how the world works and is supposedly helpless and does not know whom to seek help from but since Adam is a grown-up individual he must partner with someone who knows and understands the situation that Sam is currently in and the laws that protect Sam be it Someone superior to Adam or his colleague or someone who is working with the law enforcement. To help Sam to have a better treatment hence having a better future.
