Eastern Africa is part of the sub-Saharan Africa which comprises two conventionally recognized areas, the Horn of Africa and East Africa (Low & Marcus, 2019). The Horn of Africa consists of nations like Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia and Somalia, while East Africa consists of nations like Tanzania, Uganda and Kenya. In diplomatic perspective, the East African Community, which is the intergovernmental organisation found in the East African region, extends to Rwanda, Burundi and South Sudan.
